What is Blackboard Collaborate Ultra?

Note: Blackboard Collaborate Ultra, will be discontinued as of June 30, 2024. Instructors using Blackboard Collaborate Ultra will transition to Microsoft Teams or Webex for synchronous online meetings.

 

Instructors may add recorded lectures, presentations or use web-conferencing using Blackboard Collaborate Ultra

  • share a whiteboard
  • view web pages, Powerpoints, or video simultaneously
  • view or share documents
  • chat by voice or text
  • watch a pre-recorded session or lecture
  • and more

If your class is using Blackboard Collaborate Ultra, your instructor will have links to Collaborate in your Blackboard course, or may email you a link, and they will let you know the dates and times the Collaborate sessions will be held. 

What do I need? Equipment and Compatibility: You'll need a computer with an reliable internet connection, and speakers or headphones. To participate with your audio and video, you may use a microphone, a USB headset, a webcam or the built-in webcam on a laptop.
