Getting Started
After you've entered the exam page from your Brightspace course, complete the following steps to launch the Honorlock proctoring session:
1.) If you haven't already done so, you will be prompted to install the Honorlock Chrome extension. You cannot launch an Honorlock proctoring session without it. It can only be installed on the Google Chrome browser.
2.) Agree to the data collection terms and continue to the systems check.
3.) Review the assessment guidelines. These guidelines are determined by your instructors. They will let you know what is allowed or prohibited while you take an exam. Click "Begin Authentication."
4.) Agree to the privacy details. You may also need to allow Honorlock permission to use your microphone and camera.
Note: On a Mac, you may also need to change permissions settings in your computer's System Preferences to allow Google Chrome to access your camera, microphone and to share your screen. To do so, go to the Apple menu 
> System Preferences, click Security & Privacy 
, then click Privacy. You'll need to make sure the box next to Google Chrome is checked under all three categories - Camera, Microphone and Screen Recording. You may need to click on the gold lock icon to make changes. If so, you'll be prompted to enter your computer's password. Make sure to close the lock back up to save changes.
5.) Complete the photo verification. You will be asked to take a selfie.
6.) Complete ID verification. You will need to scan your student or photo ID.
7.) Scan the room. You will need to use the camera on your computer to scan your work space.
8.) Launch the screen recording (if required by your instructor) by clicking on the representative image of your screen and then clicking the "Share" button.
9.) Press the "Start Assessment" button. You will be directed back to your exam page in order to start taking your test.
