Book a Tutor: Booking a Tutor

Directions for Making an Achievement Center Tutoring Appointment

To book an appointment with one of our Tutors, please follow these steps:

  1. Log into Online tutoring (TracCloud) HERE with your student information. 
  2. Sign in with your Madison College email address and password. 
  3. Click on the “Search Availability” button.
  4. Click on the “Center” dropdown and select “SAC Online Tutoring”
  5. In the “Section:” dropdown, please select the class you would like to work on and click Search.  You will see a list of available tutors who can help with that subject and their available appointments.
  6. Click on the time you wish to book.  Please enter any notes about areas you wish to focus on and then click the Save button.
  7. You will receive a confirmation email from peertutoring@madisoncollege.edu and one from WebEx with details.

Guidelines for tutoring

  1. Available appointments can be booked up to 2 weeks in advance but must be made at least 1 hour in advance.
  2. Students may book up to seven, 45-minute appointments per week  (Monday through Friday) with a tutor. 
  3. Students may not book more than one appointment with the same tutor on the same day.
  4. Students must cancel at least 12 hours in advance.
  5. Students who are more than 15 minutes late will have their appointment marked as missed.
  6. 3 missed appointments per semester, or 7 cancelled appointments per semester, will result in suspension of booking privileges. Booking privileges may be restored after meeting with the Student Achievement Center Director.

MASKING AND OTHER COVID PROTOCOLS

The College does not require face coverings, 

  1. Continue to keep a distance of six feet from each other whenever possible.
  2. Use hand sanitizer when entering and exiting our space.  
  3. Cough or sneeze into your elbow or hands (be sure to disinfect hands after.)
  4. Community members and children are not allowed at this time.
  5. Food or drink is currently not permitted in the library or SAC’s.
  6. Please do not move the furniture so proper distance can be maintained.
  7. Do not go into unrestricted areas or use stored items.
  8. Staff will be maintaining distance while serving you.  Nothing personal.  :-)
  9. Please clean up after yourself and be sure to take all of your belongings.

  • *If you are having trouble getting connected, contact the Library Technology Help Team at 608-243-4444. 
  • Think about what you need to focus on with your tutor.  
  • Be prepared.  Have your text and notes nearby.
