Getting Started with Brightspace
Brightspace is Madison College’s learning management system. Whether you're taking online, online live, or hybrid classes, you’ll likely use Brightspace to access course materials and complete assignments. Even face-to-face classes, may use Brightspace to share resources and updates.
Each course in Brightspace may look a bit different, as instructors design their own content. However, most courses include some combination of the following:
- Announcements
- Assignments
- Discussions
- Interactive content
- Links to virtual class meetings
- Quizzes or exams
- Syllabus
To get started, take time to explore your courses in Brightspace. Use the course menu on the left to click through each section and read the syllabus carefully. We recommend saving a copy of the syllabus for easy reference and offline access.
