Remote Learning Guide: How to request and pick up equipment

What if I don't have the equipment I need to complete my coursework?

The College is currently distributing a limited number of laptops and WiFi hotspots to students who need them for remote learning. If you are a current student in need of such equipment to successfully complete your semester, please visit the Technology Access Program page to learn more about the process and to submit a request.

Note: please make sure your street address is current in your myMadisonCollege account.

Picking up your equipment

Once you have received a confirmation email that your equipment is ready to pick up, choose one of the following options:

  • Truax Campus:
    • Welcome Center - If you do not want help with your devices, you can check out your equipment at the Welcome Center during their operating hours. For returns, students should return all equipment to the Welcome Center during their operating hours.
    • Library - If you wish to receive one-on-one help setting up your College-owned laptop, please schedule a TechXpert appointment with a librarian. You will receive your laptop and/or hotspot at that appointment in the Truax Library.
  • Goodman South, Commercial Avenue, Fort Atkinson, Portage, Reedsburg, or Watertown:
    • You can pick up equipment at the following campuses at their front desk during their operating hours. Give them a call for their most current hours.
