URL shorteners

Since there are a limited number of characters allowed per tweet, many twitter users use URL shorteners. Twitter has a built-in URL shortener but some users choose to use a different URL shortener.

Enter the URL of the page you'd like to link to in the shortener and it'll produce a shorter URL that will still link to that page.  Common URL shorteners are listed below.  More info here.

What is Twitter?

Twitter is a free social media sites that enables its users to send and read short messages known as tweets. Users can also embed media in tweets, such as photos or videos.

Tweets are text-based posts of up to 280 characters displayed on the author's profile page and delivered to the author's followers.

Registered users can post, like, and retweet tweets, but unregistered users can only read them. Senders can restrict delivery to those in their circle of friends or, by default, allow open access.
