Using OER and Open Courseware, such as MyOpenMath, in courses saves students money. This is important in ensuring all students have an equal opportunity to start succeeding on day one and persist to finals. Not only are the materials available on the first day of class, but students do not have to purchase an access code and navigate the associated technology challenges they can cause. Students spend more time on practicing homework and faculty can focus on supporting students more effectively.
This data represents the amount of money students save when MyOpenMath replaces a commercial access code in a single section of a Madison College math course.
