LGBTQ: Gender & Sexuality Resources: Home

Welcome to the LGBTQ: Gender & Sexuality Guide with rainbow stars (black, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple)

What will you find on this guide?

This guide shares a diversity of resources pertaining to the LGBTQ community, as well as support for LGBTQ studies, both on- and off-campus. On this guide, the letters LGBTQ stand for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer. In other spaces, you may see different iterations of these letters; for example: LGBT, GLBT, LGBTQIA. For reference, and to learn more, checkout any of the helpful online glossaries in the Gender Identity Resources tab.

Note on intersectionality. Gender and sexuality intersects with many other identities/ topics.
What is intersectionality? The Oxford Dictionary defines intersectionality as the "interconnected nature of social categorizations such as race, class, and gender as they apply to a given individual or group, regarded as creating overlapping and interdependent systems of discrimination or disadvantage."
