Human Services: APA Style

Some common features of APA style (7th ed) formatted papers include:

• Times New Roman font (or other accepted Serif or Sans Serif font)
• 12-point size text preferred
• One inch margins, half inch paragraph indent
• Title page and abstract
• Running head with page numbers (title in running head optional for students in 7th edition, but all caps if included) 
• Double spaced 
• In-text citations
• The first in-text citation of a work by more than two authors may list only the first author, followed by “et al.”
• References page at the end: 
  • alphabetical order by author's last name (or title if author unknown)
  • hanging indents
