HOWLER is an acronym for Help Online With LibraryEducation and Research. Our goal is to shareinformation literacy strategies and knowledge with Madison College students. These tutorials serve to both reinforce and enhance our in-person, library information literacy sessions and to help online and hybrid students with access to information literacy best practices and concepts.
HOWLER arose from discussions among Madison College Librarians beginning in 2004. Tutorials are updated regularly in response to changing technology and evolving resource opportunites. The tutorials are based upon information literacy standards as determined by the Wisconsin Association of Academic Librarians.
