What's New?

What's new at the library this summer?

New Librarian

Autumn Hall-Tun

My name is Autumn Hall-Tun and I'm the new librarian in the Eastern region, taking over for Shelley Peschel. I work at the Watertown and Fort Atkinson campus libraries. I can help students with reference questions, research, citations, software and more. I started at the college in 2011, after recieving my MLS degree from UW Madison. I started as a part-time librarian at the West campus and in the last year I worked full-time at Portage and Reedsburg. I'm excited to be working in the Eastern region and look forward to serving the students, faculty and staff out here. Please stop by the library and say hi!

Hiring Student Help

We're looking for a few good student workers for our library and Student Achievement Center, starting in the fall. Do you have what it takes? We're looking for students who are motivated, hard working and comfortable with technology and learning new things. This is a great opportunity for a job which would look wonderful on a resume. Students must be taking at least six credits to be eligible. Stop by today and pick up an application!

Little Free Library

Maybe you've heard of the "Little Free Library" trend, which allows community members to create small book exchange boxes to drop off or pick up all kinds of books. The Watertown campus library has its own indoor version! Stop by and pick up a book, or drop off one you've already read. This is a fun way to encourage reading and community participation, and hey- it's green, too!

Proctoring

The Madison College Libraries do not provide proctoring services. However, we are happy to serve as a location for exam make-ups. We cannot guarantee students will be supervised taking their exam.

For information about proctoring options, please contact your department.

Also, many local public libraries offer proctoring services.
