General things to remember about the U.S. Census:
Decennial census – this census is taken every 10 years
American Community Survey – this census is constantly being updated; uses smaller samples; the data is dervived or statistically produced. ACS data excludes people living in institutions, college dormitories, and other group quarters
"Hispanic" is not considered a racial category in any census materials. People who identify their origin as Spanish, Hispanic, or Latino may be of any race
The U.S. Census Bureau does not collect data on religious or political affiliation
