National Library Week: Faculty Friend of the Libraries

National Library Week 2021

Faculty Friend of the Libraires

Congratulations to this year's winner, History Instructor, Joel Ryan!

For the past six years, our team of librarians have been given an opportunity to nominate a faculty member who is a champion of library services and information literacy instruction as part of our National Library Week celebration every April.  These are faculty who make us, and our students, better, by introducing students to library research, recommending materials for the curriculum, including librarians in their BB course pages and so much more.  Often, these faculty have consistently and collaboratively worked with our team for new and exciting ways to help students throughout many semesters.  This year's honoree is part of a team of heroes.

Joel was nominated by Truax librarian Matthew Coan, who had the following kudos to share:

I nominate Joel Ryan, history faculty extraordinaire. Joel has been nominated in past years by Donna and he has long partnered with the Libraries. As the history liaison, I hear from Joel many times throughout the semester.

Please give every consideration to Joel! He's overdue!"

Thank you for being a great supporter of our libraries!
