Congratulations to this year's winner, Nursing instructor Lisa Cappelli!
For the past five years, our team of librarians have been given an opportunity to nominate a faculty member who is a champion of library services and information literacy instruction as part of our National Library Week celebration every April. These are faculty who make us, and our students, better, by introducing students to library research, recommending materials for the curriculum, including librarians in their BB course pages and so much more. Often, these faculty have consistently and collaboratively worked with our team for new and exciting ways to help students throughout many semesters. This years honoree is part of a team of heroes.
Lisa was nominated by Truax librarian coach Renee, who had the following kudos to share:
“Lisa is one of the hardest working nursing instructors. She has long been a user and supporter of library services. Her energy and expertise make it very easy for me to support the success of her nursing program students. I had one of her students tell me, “Lisa changed my life! She helped me find my voice and confidence.” You can’t get much better than that. Lisa continuously provides opportunities and engagement that help students succeed. I can’t think of a more worthy honoree.”
Thank you for being a great supporter of our libraries!
