Credo Persistent Links

A persistent link can be created to a particular article or a reference book title in Credo Reference. Anyone who uses a library database link must have access to the database from which the URL came. Therefore, off-campus users must be authenticated as part of Madison Area Technical College through EZproxy. Off-campus users who click on a Madison College EZproxy permalink will be prompted to enter their username and password.

To create a Credo persistent link which will allow off-campus access through EZproxy:

  1. Go to the Credo Reference link which is listed on the Madison College Libraries Find Articles page.
  2. Locate an article or publication of interest.
  3. For links to an entry or article - Do not use the link from the browser address bar. Instead, scroll down to the bottom of the article and locate the citation. Select and copy the entire URL beginning with    Example:Credo EZproxy example
  4. For links to a reference title - If the Madison College EZproxy prefix is not already included at the start of a URL, use the EZproxy URL Creator to append the prefix to the URL.
