Print Smart: Printing at Madison College: Add Money to your Print Smart Account

Adding Value to your Print Smart account

You have two ways to add money to your Print Smart account:

  1. Add money online with a credit/ debit card or by ACH (checking/savings account), via the PaperCut web interface.
  2. Add money by buying a prepaid print card and entering its number online via the PaperCut web interface.


Printing charges will always first draw from your free print allocation.

NOTE: Money added to your print account is non-refundable. You may only add up to $5 at a time to your account. Be sure to only add as much as you will use during your time at Madison College.

Adding Money to your Print Account Online

Adding money online using a Credit, Debit Card, or Checking Account

If you have used all of your free print allowance, you can easily add money to your print via debit, credit card or ACH (checking/savings account) information via the PaperCut web payment gateway.

To add credit to your account using a credit card, debit card, or checking account information:

  • Log in to a computer. Soon after login, your printing balance window will appear.
  • Click the Details… link on the balance window

  • A web page will open requesting your network username and password. This is the same username and password you use to log in to your Blackboard or campus computers.

  • After logging in, click the Add Credit link from the left menu. Then select the amount of money you would like to add to your account. Keep in mind that any money you add to your account is nonrefundable, so be sure to only add as much as you will use during your time at Madison College. Then, click the Add Value button.

  • Double check the amount you would like to add on the following screen. Choose Credit Card for either a credit card or debit card payment. Choose Webcheck to enter your checking account information. Then click Continue.

  • Enter in your card information on the following screen. Finish the process to add monies to your print account. Your balance will update momentarily.
  • Money added to your Print Smart account via credit or debit card will show up as "MATC Student Online Pam" on your banking statement.

Adding Money from a Pre-Paid Print Card

To add more credit you can buy prepaid print cards from selected offices around the College. You can buy a card at the following locations during normal business hours. If you need to add money to your print account when offices are closed, please see the above instructions for adding money via credit, debit, or checking account information online.

Each card is a print voucher with a unique number. All prepaid print card purchases are non-refundable. Please make sure your card number is kept secret until use. To add credit to your account using a card:

  • Log in to a computer. Soon after login, your printing balance window will appear.
  • Click the Details… link on the balance window

Login to PaperCut

  • After logging in, click the Redeem Card link from the left menu.
  • Enter the number from the card. Enter exactly as shown on the card including any dashes (-)

  • Click Redeem Card. The value of the card will immediately be added to your printing balance.
  • Click Summary from the left menu and check your balance to confirm the card’s value has been added to your account.

NOTE: The card is valid for a single use only. The card should be recycled after use.
